Duo set for Hamburg exit

Sergei Barbarez and Stefan Beinlich have rejected new offers at Hamburg.

Both players were unhappy with their proposed new deals at the AOL Arena and failed to put pen-to-paper before the club's deadline.

Barbarez is Hamburg's joint top scorer this season, while Beinlich is an established member of the midfield, so the news will come as a massive blow to sport director Dietmar Beiersdorfer, who must now look to the transfer market for alternatives.

"Agent Jorg Neubauer has informed us that they do not want to accept our terms and will be looking to continue their careers elsewhere," Beiersdorfer explained.

Defender Bastian Reinhardt has also rejected the Rothosen's latest offer and could leave after an injury-plagued season that has left him with little chance to impress.
