Sturrock denies McLeod interest
Paul Sturrock has denied rumours linking him with Swansea's Kevin McLeod.
Sheffield Wednesday manager Paul Sturrock has denied speculation linking the club with Swansea's Kevin McLeod. The winger has been told he can leave the Liberty Stadium should a club make a move for him but Sturrock has rebuffed claims that Wednesday were interested.
The Owls are looking to bring in some midfield back-up before Thursday's transfer deadline but the former Southampton boss insists he has plenty of players that can play in McLeod's position.
"We've got Chris Brunt, John Hills and Peter Gilbert who can play down that side," he insisted.
Chester were also interested in McLeod's services and may now revive their interest in the 25-year-old, although they could have competition from a number of Championship and League One clubs.
