Still good friends

Colin Calderwood and Steve Evans have resolved their differences.

Wednesday night's League Two fixture between Northampton Town and Boston United saw a difference of opinion between the two managers.

Northampton's Colin Calderwood and Boston United chief Steve Evans heatedly exchanged views at the end of the game, but have since reconciled their differences.

"Steve is quite emotional and gets wrapped up in the game as all managers do," Cobblers boss Calderwood told Sky Sports.

"We're pretty good friends off the pitch and speak to each other regularly, you know. We had a difference of opinion over one or two things and a lot of it was to do with the ref, who overall did okay," said the former Spurs defender (pictured).

Evans insisted that the heated debate had not affected their relationship:

"We're just two passionate managers, two from north of the border. I'm sure we're going to have a glass of wine in a minute," said the Pilgrims manager.

Former Boston midfielder Gavin Johnson's 79th minute winner was the difference between the two sides, as Northampton continue to press for promotion.
