Makukula boost for Sevilla

Sevilla striker Ariza Makukula will return to training in the next few weeks after six months out with a knee injury.Makukula underwent surgery on the troublesome knee in September but has now been given the go-ahead to return to training by doctors in Belgium.
It had been expected that the Congo star would not make an appearance for the Spanish side this term, but a speedy recovery has left Makukula with a chance of playing before the end of the season.
The players' return is a welcome boost to Sevilla boss Juande Ramos who will need all the players he can get as they push for glory in the Uefa Cup as well as a top-four finish in La Liga.
"This is excellent news because we need as much help as possible for the difficult end to the season," said Ramos.
The player himself does not want to talk about possible return dates and has insisted that it is vital he is completely recovered before making his first-team return.
Makukula's contract is due to expire at the end of the season, but Sevilla look likely to take a risk on the player by offering him a one-year extension to his current deal.
