Crystal Palace have handed a trial to Ipswich Town youngster Charlie Sheringham.
Crystal Palace have handed a trial to Ipswich Town youngster Charlie Sheringham.The 17-year-old, who is the son of West Ham United striker Teddy Sheringham (pictured), is coming to the end of his 12-month trainee scholarship at Portman Road.
The younger Sheringham appeared for The Eagles in a reserve match against their counterparts from Norwich City on Wednesday.
Palace also gave run-outs to fellow trialists Michael Kamara and Margate striker Osman Sesay in Wednesday's match.
Sesay comes to Palace after a two-week trial at Premiership side Fulham, with another club in Tottenham Hotspur thought be keen on the youngster as well.
It remains to be seen if the Selhurst Park club will pursue their interest in the trio.
