Rothen ready to quit PSG

Jerome Rothen has admitted he could leave PSG after a difficult season.

Jerome Rothen has admitted he could leave Paris Saint Germain after a difficult season in the French capital.

The talented midfielder, who has been linked in the press with Tottenham, Valencia and former club Monaco, has not been at his best and appears to have a strained relationship with coach Guy Lacombe.

The 28-year-old has confessed to France Football that he could be on the move again in the close season, opening the door to a transfer away from Le Championnat.

"I won't be against coming back to Monaco," he stated. "If I left, it was because I had a difficult relationship with the chairman at that time [Pierre Svara].

"Monaco remain a club which has been important for me.

"Considering what I am experiencing for some weeks in the French stadiums, where I am booed, it is true I favour a move abroad."

There is no concrete interest yet in the left-sided star but his comments could trigger a bid from a club outside of France.
