Empoli have moved quickly to tie the player to a deal until 2009 but with Roma, Internazionale and Fiorentina all circling, they will do well to retain the player's services.
In January Ukrainian outfit Shaktar Donetsk were reported to have offered in the region of ‚é¼10 million but saw their efforts to land the powerful forward thwarted.
The Italian press are also reporting that Liverpool, Bayern Munich, Hamburg and Valencia have also had the player watched in recent weeks.
