Ruud joins Elite club
Man Utd's Ruud van Nistelrooy reached a major landmark against Bolton.
Despite not currently enjoying a regular starting place in the Red Devils' side, Dutchman Ruud van Nistelrooy reached a major landmark against Bolton on Saturday, bagging his 150th goal for United.In doing so, the 29 year old joins a select band of Old Trafford heroes who have netted 150 goals for the club including George Best, Bobby Charlton, Denis Law and Mark Hughes.
Since signing for United back in 2001 for a fee of £19,000,000, van Nistelrooy has made 214 appearances, scoring a goal in every 1.43 games on average, a better goal-scoring rate than any of his fellow 150-goal United legends.
Interestingly only one of his 150 goals scored from open play was struck from outside the box.
