Martins revelling in Inter life

Nigerian striker Obafemi Martins is keen to see out his career with Internazionale.

Nigerian striker Obafemi Martins is keen to see out his career with Internazionale.

The speedy forward is in just the fledgling stage of his career, but is content with life in Milan and is not planning to jump ship.

"There are no doubts, staying at Inter is what I want," he said. "Why would I have any doubts?"

Martins scored Inter's leveller during the 2-1 win over Villarreal and he was happy to help his side secure a foothold in their UEFA Champions League quarter final.

"I was waiting to score such an important goal. I hoped to unblock myself in a delicate match, and I did it," he added. "The coach (Roberto Mancini) gives me useful suggestions and he helps me also when he scolds me."

Martins' strike partner Adriano also found the scoresheet against Villarreal and the Nigerian believes they are starting to gel.

"I don't know if me and him are the perfect couple for Inter, this is a coach's decision and I'm not the coach. What is sure is that together we feel really good and we must continue on this way."
