Brown upset by Davis comments
Michael Brown is unhappy at Sean Davis for saying he tried to break his leg.
Fulham midfielder Michael Brown has hit back at Sean Davis for claiming he intentionally tried to break the Portsmouth midfielder's leg.Brown was sent off by referee Chris Foy for a two-footed lunge on his former team-mate and after the game, Davis accused the former Spurs midfielder of deliberately trying to hurt him.
However, Brown insists he has no problem with the Portsmouth man and says he would never go out to harm another player.
"I was surprised by the comments made by Sean Davis," Brown admitted.
"To be accused of deliberately going into a challenge in an attempt to cause damage is absolutely sickening.
"I've never had any problems with Sean Davis, but he's obviously got a problem with me.
"I am bitterly disappointed to learn he has said the tackle was intentional.
"I was devastated to be sent off, but to then hear I'm supposed to have done this deliberately is ridiculous. I am not that type of player.
"It was a committed challenge on my part. Mistimed I admit, but nothing more sinister than that."
