Heskey eyes goal glut

Emile Heskey is hoping he can score the goals to keep Birmingham in The Premiership.

Emile Heskey is hoping he can score the goals between now and the end of the season to keep Birmingham City in The Premiership.

Goal-shy Heskey only has one goal in his last 20 games for Blues and is desperate to halt the barren run.

The former Liverpool ace is not setting himself any targets, he is just looking to find the net as much as possible to ensure the club's top-flight status.

"We are desperate to stay in The Premiership," said Heskey.

"My main aim is to score some goals, but I don't set any targets.

"I just want to get as many as I can.

"I don't care how they go in as long as I can get on the scoresheet a few times because we need to score goals to win games."

Heskey's first chance to end his drought comes on Saturday when Blues take on Wigan at The JJB on Saturday evening, live on PremPlus.
