Baidoo rejects contract offer

QPR striker Shabazz Baidoo has turned down two contract offers from the club.

Queens Park Rangers youngster Shabazz Baidoo has rejected two contract offers from the club, and is unlikely to decide on his future until the summer.

A product of the Arsenal academy, Baidoo also represented England Under-16s during his time at Highbury.

The young striker, who will celebrate his 18th birthday next week, is rumoured to have attracted interest from other clubs, but Rangers caretaker manager Gary Waddock is keen to keep the youngster at Loftus Road.

"Shabazz has turned down two offers, and he will probably now wait until the summer before figuring out what he wants to do," said Waddock.

"I want him to sign, he knows that and his agent knows that. I rate him highly. Shabazz has to ask himself whether he would be a first-team player if he went to another club."
