Coupe de France round-up
Marseille produced the shock of the night at they beat Lyon to book a semi-final place.
Marseille are through to the semi-final of the Coupe de France following a surprise 2-1 victory over champions Lyon.
Gerard Houllier's side looked to be suffering from a UEFA Champions League hangover as they crashed out to a Marseille side who have struggled for top form this season.
Marseille opened the scoring on 16 minutes when Toifilou Maoulida raced through a static Lyon backline to net in some style.
Lyon were, however, level within six minutes when Brazilian Fred stabbed home a typically devilish set-piece delivery from Juninho.
In an open second period Marseille stole bragging rights when Gregory Coupet and Anthony Reveillere failed to deal with Frank Ribery's whipped cross, leaving Mamadou Niang to nip in and poke home in the 65th minute.
A Pedro Pauleta goal handed Paris Saint Germain a semi-final spot following a 2-1 win over Lille.
Prolific Portuguese hit-man Pauleta is Ligue 1's top goalscorer with 20 goals this term, etched his name on the scoresheet again in the 57th minute with a fine curling effort from outside of the box.
Lille had started the contest brightly and indeed took the lead on the half hour mark when former Arsenal stopper Efstathios Tavlaridis headed home from a well worked set-piece.
Their lead would though prove short-lived as reported Manchester United target Bonaventure Kalou found a leveller just ten minutes later.
Pauleta had the final say, however, when his individual moment of magic settled a contest that was watched by an observant Sir Alex Ferguson in the crowd.
