Walsall winger Paul Devlin has decided to leave the League One club after a lack of first-team action. The Scotland international, who turns 34 on Good Friday, leaves The Bescot Stadium only months after joining the club from Championship side Watford.
The former Sheffield United and Birmingham City man made the decision to leave the League One strugglers for family reasons.
"It is disappointing that Paul has made this decision," Saddlers boss Kevan Broadhurst told the club's official website.
"He has been a terrific servant to the game over the years, but was unhappy at being on the bench on Tuesday.
"I can understand his frustration, but felt that he still had a role to play in our season.
"His wife has recently given birth and he has made what he considers to be the right decision, so we wish him and his family happiness in the future."
Devlin has been joined in leaving the Black Country outfit by striker Scott Fitzgerald, who has ended his loan spell at Walsall to return to his parent club, League One rivals Brentford.
