Willem II keep Chelsea kid

Willem II have taken up the option on Chelsea midfielder Joe Keenan.

The 23-year-old moved on loan to Tilburg in January, with Keenan signing a six-month deal with an option in place to extend his stay.

Keenan has made a positive impression on Willem II and has been handed a two-year contract.

The midfielder has turned out 11 times for Willem II and will look to flourish in the next couple of years.

His deal with Chelsea was due to expire in the summer and he had no future under Jose Mourinho at Stamford Bridge.
