Tommy Bechmann is happy to remain with VfL Bochum following their promotion to the German top flight.The forward had considered moving on during the January transfer window, but opted to keep faith in the club picking up in the second half of the campaign.
Their form duly improved and they secured promotion at the weekend.
Bechmann believes his decision was vindicated, but wants the club to strengthen the squad this summer.
"It was certainly the right decision to stay at the club and fight for a place," Bechmann told onside.dk.
"I am sure the club will strengthen the squad. We need some new players to make us better."
