Cardiff 'land Loovens'

Cardiff City have reportedly reached an agreement to sign Glenn Loovens.

Cardiff City have reportedly reached an agreement to sign Glenn Loovens, with the on-loan Feyenoord stopper believed to have signed a three-year deal at Ninian Park.

The 22-year-old has been in impressive form for Dave Jones's side all season and the two clubs have been haggling over a transfer fee since January.

Cardiff had reportedly clinched a £250,000 deal in March but in mid April the former Holland Under-21 defender was still pleading to be allowed to sign on a permanent basis.

However, the Welsh outfit appear to have eventually landed their man, with Loovens now reputedly signing a three-year deal at Ninian Park.

The tough stopper played a key role in taking The Bluebirds to 11th in The Championship in what many anticipated would be a tough season, and will form a key part of Jones' plans as he looks to orchestrate a play-off push next term.
