Micoud hints at France return

Johan Micoud has given his strongest indication yet that he could return to France.

The talented Werder Bremen playmaker has excelled in the Bundesliga over the past couple of seasons but has been strongly linked with a return to his homeland in recent weeks.

While the France international has previously always stated his contentment in Germany, he does concede that talk of a move to either former club Bordeaux or Paris Saint Germain does appeal.

''For the first time since I came to Werder, four years ago, I feel desire to go back in my country, to get closer to my family, or to discover something completely different,'' he admitted to L'Equipe.

''Both Bordeaux and Paris projects are exciting to me. It is flattering. I want to put a lot into a project.

''If I could choose, of course I would favour Bordeaux, it would be the choice of my heart.

''At first, I have to meet the Werder officials to see and listen to what they have to say.''
