Hajto leaves Rams
Derby County have parted company with Polish defender Tomasz Hajto.
Derby County have parted company with Polish defender Tomasz Hajto. The former Nurnberg man leaves The Rams after initially joining the East Midlands club from Championship rivals Southampton back in January.
The 33-year-old made just five appearances in his four months with Derby and both the player and the club have mutually agreed to a parting of the ways this close season.
"It became obvious that Hajto's future lay away from Pride Park," Rams managing director Mike Horton told the club's official website.
"He didn't establish himself in the side and was unsettled here and that kind of situation can lead to disruption in an intense, tight-knit training ground environment.
"Although this is a football management decision, it is one that had to be made at the earliest opportunity to ensure it wasn't an outstanding issue that would need dealing with by a new manager."
