Lovenkrands considers Schalke

Rangers' Peter Lovenkrands is flattered to be linked with a move to Schalke.

New Rangers boss Paul Le Guen is known to be a fan of the Denmark international, but will be looking to put his own stamp on the squad ahead of his first season in charge and could be persuaded to listen to offers.

Schalke have impressed in Die Bundesliga this season and, following a recent visit to Gelsenkirchen, revealed that he could be tempted by a switch to Germany.

"I believe it would suit me quite well, considering my pace," he explained. "It would be a nice challenge.

"I believe my agent knows more about it than I do.

"I think we are still waiting for an offer."
