Huddersfield Town have signed youngster James Hand to a one-year contract with the League One club.The Republic of Ireland Under-21 international has risen through the ranks at The Galpharm Stadium, having featured regularly in the reserves last term.
The left-sided midfielder will hope to make an impact with Jackson's first team next season, as The Terriers look to put this week's play-off disappointment behind them and claim promotion next term.
"James has done very well over the past year when he has appeared in the reserves," Jackson told the club's official website.
"He has been excellent in the academy, he has a great attitude and I believe he can improve further still.
"It is a big step up for him, but I am sure he can handle it and his experience at international level will stand him in good stead."
