Rogers to return to Forest

Alan Rogers has returned to Nottingham Forest after failing to agree a move to Hull.

Nottingham Forest defender Alan Rogers has returned to The City Ground after failing to agree on a permanent move to Hull City.

The 29-year-old left back had been on loan at The KC Stadium since January, and impressed manager Peter Taylor enough to offer him a deal.

But the player, who fell out with former Forest manager Gary Megson, has announced he will return to Nottingham after failing to reach an agreement with The Tigers.

"There was a two-year deal on the table, but I will be back at Forest on June 29. I will stay there another year and see what happens," said Rogers.

"I've said that I don't want to play again for them [Forest], but I will if the right manager comes along.

"I've got a family and children. I'm not going to rip up contracts. I've been more than fair with them."

The League One club are yet to find a new manager to replace Megson since he left earlier in the year.
