Pospisil set for Stabaek

Hearts striker Michal Pospisil is expected to join Norwegian side Stabaek.

Michal Pospisil is expected to depart Hearts this summer in favour of a switch to Norwegian side Stabaek.

The Czech striker has failed to hold down a first-team place at Tynecastle since his summer switch from Slovan Liberec.

The lack of action ended his hopes of representing his country at this summer's World Cup and he is now ready to quit Scotland in favour of Norway.

Pospisil spoke with Stabaek officials at the weekend and should complete the switch later this week.

"We had a meeting here with Pospisil before he went back to the Czech Republic," Stabaek chairman Einar Schultz told the Daily Record.

Director of football Tom Schelvan added: "We have been to watch Michal play and the player must be interested in us as he came to visit us a week before he gets married.

"Michal was wanted by us in the last transfer window. He is a very good striker."
