Charlton release strikers
Shaun Bartlett, Francis Jeffers and Jonatan Johansson have been let go by Charlton.
Shaun Bartlett is weighing up his options after being released by Charlton Athletic, along with Francis Jeffers and Jonatan Johansson.
With The Addicks looking for a new manager following Alan Curbishley's exit, the club have also trimmed their playing staff for next season.
Strikers Bartlett, Jeffers and Johansson have all been shown the door, having only played peripheral roles last season.
South African forward Bartlett has spent five-and-a-half years at The Valley after initially arriving on loan from FC Zurich.
He scored 26 goals in 139 appearances for the club and the 33-year-old is now mulling over his next move.
"I have always been made to feel very welcome at Charlton and want to thank the club and fans for that," said Bartlett. "I had a great time.
"It is the end of an era, with Curbs leaving as well.
"I have got quite a few options now, but I have not made any decisions yet."
Johansson had spent six years with Charlton after joining from Rangers and the Finn netted 33 times in 167 games.
"It has been a great six years, but football has its up and downs and everything has to come to an end," Johansson, who spent the end of the season on loan at Norwich, told Charlton's official website.
England cap Jeffers proved a major disappointment after a £2.6 million switch from Arsenal two years ago.
Jeffers scored five goals in just 24 appearances for The Addicks and spent the first half of the most recent campaign on loan at Rangers.
