Rotherham United striker Martin Butler has returned to first club Walsall.
Butler has shunned a new contract with The Millers to link up with Walsall on a free transfer for next season.
The 31-year-old started his career with The Saddlers and scored 12 goals in 88 appearances before joining Cambridge United in 1997.
After a spell at Reading, Butler moved on to Rotherham in 2003 and scored eight goals as the South Yorkshire side avoided relegation from League One this season.
Walsall were less fortunate and succumbed to the drop to League Two, but have persuaded Butler to return to his roots.
Millers manager Alan Knill is not surprised that the experienced front man opted to leave Rotherham for The Bescot Stadium.
"In some ways I am not surprised about his decision as it comes down to money at the end of the day," Knill told the club's official website.
"Martin also comes from around that area and I understand he is planning to have a house built in the area."
