Nice win Moussilou race

Nice have won the race to sign out of favour Lille striker Matt Moussilou.

Nice have won the race to sign Matt Moussilou after the Lille striker agreed on a four-year contract.

Moussilou was unable to impress Lille coach Claude Puel despite once being tipped as a potential French international, and has opted to spurn interest from England and Portugal.

The 24-year-old scored just four goals this season with the recent arrival of Souleymane Youla spelling the end of his time with Lille, and the club have now confirmed they expect him to complete his exit in the coming days.

"Lille striker Matt Moussilou has found an agreement to move to Nice," a club spokesman told the club's official website.

"He will soon sign a four-year contract with the red and black club.

"The player has preferred to join Nice in spite of interest from English, Portuguese and French clubs."
