Ronaldo shrugs off blisters

Brazil star Ronaldo is confident his foot problem will clear up before the World Cup.

Brazil star Ronaldo is confident his foot problem will clear up before the World Cup gets underway.

The Real Madrid ace sustained some blisters in Sunday's 4-0 friendly win over New Zealand.

Ronaldo was forced off with the problem and it was feared he may face a spell on the sidelines.

The former Barcelona man missed training on Monday, but he insists the blisters will soon clear up.

"I have five blisters on my left foot," said Ronaldo. "But only one really affects me and it's very sore.

"I will have to put some cream on it in order to speed up the healing process but I don't think it will be a problem for the World Cup."
