Chester sign McSporran

Chester City have secured the signing of Jermaine McSporran on a free transfer.

Chester City have secured the signing of Jermaine McSporran on a free transfer.

McSporran was released by Doncaster Rovers at the end of last season, having made just two appearances for the club during the campaign.

He also undertook a loan spell at Boston United and mustered just two goals in 32 appearances for Doncaster in two years at Belle Vue.

The 29-year-old attacker, though, has quickly found a team for next season after agreeing a deal with Mark Wright's Chester.

Wright is tipped to use McSporran as a winger as Chester look to mount a bid for promotion from League Two.
