Five linked with Malbranque

Reports in France claim five Premiership clubs are keen on Steed Malbranque.

Reports in France claim five Premiership clubs are interested in signing Fulham schemer Steed Malbranque.

The midfielder's agent is due to meet a number of potential employers in the coming days and there is expected to be a real scramble for his signature.

Fulham decided to transfer list Malbranque when he rejected the most lucrative contract offer in their history back in May and indicated he would like to move under the Bosman Ruling in 2007, when his present deal expires.

The Cottagers will instead look to cash in on the 26-year-old and developments are expected soon with Newcastle United known to be determined to win the chase.

West Ham, Middlesbrough, Manchester City and Liverpool are also reportedly pursuing the Frenchman, who is valued in at least the £5 million bracket by Fulham.
