Poulsen signs for Sevilla

Schalke midfielder Christian Poulsen has agreed a move to Uefa Cup winners Sevilla.

The 26-year-old Denmark international midfielder has put pen-to-paper on a three-year deal with the Primera Liga outfit.

‚Ç£Everything went extremely quickly,‚Ç¥ Poulsen said on Monday.

‚Ç£I am very happy about the move and I know the club from last season's Uefa Cup.‚Ç¥

Poulsen joined Schalke from FC Copenhagen in 2002 and was part of the Royal Blues' team that lost to the Spaniards in last season's Uefa Cup semi-final.

Earlier this year, Poulsen had signed a pre-contract with Sevilla's Liga rivals Villarreal, only to pull out of the deal.

Italian giants Internazionale and Milan had also been linked with Poulsen, but he has now settled on a switch to Sevilla.
