Crystal Palace manager Peter Taylor has confirmed his interest in Neil Lennon.
New Crystal Palace manager Peter Taylor has confirmed his interest in Celtic midfielder Neil Lennon.Taylor is keen to bring the former Northern Ireland international to Selhurst Park as he looks to rebuild the Palace side.
Lennon's current contract expires later this month and as yet no deal has been agreed.
Taylor worked with Lennon while he was in charge of Leicester and says he would love to be reunited with the player.
"I always regretted having to sell Lenny to Celtic six years ago," Taylor told the Daily Record.
"I have such a lot of respect for him as a player and I'm very interested in him for Palace.
"It's early days yet but I can understand the kind of frustration he's suffering at the moment.
"Neil's a good type as well as a good player and he'd be good for any club."
Celtic chief Gordon Strachan remains confident Lennon will sign a new deal and stay at Parkhead.
"There's no problem. We'll see Neil on Friday and I'm sure we'll get everything sorted out then," said Strachan.
