Red Bull snap up Vonlanthen
Johan Vonlanthen has joined Red Bull Salzburg from PSV Eindhoven.
Red Bull Salzburg have strengthened their squad further with the addition of Johan Vonlanthen from PSV Eindhoven.The 20-year-old was left out of Switzerland's World Cup squad after tearing his left hamstring during training, but is regarded by Salzburg coach Lothar Matthaus as "an enormous talent."
He scored six goals in 29 appearances for PSV before switching to NAC Breda on loan last season.
Vonlanthen is likely to be entrusted with a key role at Salzburg, who are burning with ambition following their takeover by Red Bull last year.
Matthaus signed on as coach in May, while former Italy boss Giovanni Trapattoni has also been brought in as sporting director.
