FC Copenhagen have completed the signing of Stuttgart winger Jesper Gronkjaer on a four-year contract.The Bundesliga club have not seen the best of the former Chelsea man and were happy to return him to Denmark for ‚é¼2 million (£1.4 million).
Copenhagen chairman Flemming Oestergaard also expressed his delight as the Danish champions unveiled their new signing at a press conference on Friday.
"Stale (Solbakken) has had Jesper on his wish list since he started (as coach) at the club," said Oestergaard.
"I am proud that we can present him now after months of negotiations."
Gronkjaer joins fellow new additions Oscar Wendt and Fredrik Berglund as FCK look to build a team capable of achieving more success in Europe.
"It is no secret that our next goal is international success," Oestergaard urged.
