Pandev seals Lazio stay

Lazio have agreed a permanent deal for striker Goran Pandev with joint-owners Udinese.

Lazio have agreed a permanent deal for Macedonia striker Goran Pandev with joint-owners Udinese.

The forward started 22 Serie A matches for the Stadio Olimpico outfit last term, and his two clubs have now agreed on a fee.

The Stadio Friuli club offered Lazio ‚é¼3.65 million (£2.5 million) for his services but were outbid by Lazio's ‚é¼4 million (£2.8 million) figure, a fact the player is made up about.

"I'm really happy. I had a few difficult days. I was on holiday, but I wasn't completely settled," Pandev told Corriere dello Sport.

"It was my dream to stay at Lazio, I've always said it.

"This season I scored 11 goals, but now I want to improve. I have a contract with Lazio until 2010 and I hope to remain here as long as possible."
