Riva hints at Totti stay

Gigi Riva does not believe Francesco Totti will retire following the World Cup.

Totti hinted he might call time on his international career following the showpiece event after Italy's 2-0 win over Czech Republic.

The 29-year-old is happy to give youngsters the chance to come through by stepping aside, although Riva, who is the team's general manager in Germany, believes Totti might find it hard letting go.

"He will have time to evaluate and to decide," Riva explained to Sky Italia. "It's not easy leaving this jersey."

Riva is desperate for Italy to continue their form in Germany and hopes that Totti can shine in the knockout stages.

"We must end this tournament in a good way and we hope Totti can do well and provide something special."
