Uefa Cup holders Sevilla are reportedly lining up a bid for Switzerland goalkeeper Fabio Coltorti. The 25-year-old Grasshoppers star would make an ideal replacement for Antonio Notario, who looks likely to join Murcia in the Segunda Division.
That leaves just veteran Andres Palop as the main shot-stopper in the squad, and so the club have been scouring Europe to find the right back-up.
"Coltorti is one option, but the subject is not closed," club sporting director Ramon Rodriguez commented.
"But it's true that with this player the value for money is perfect."
Coltorti has two years left on his contract in Zurich, but could yet be tempted by foreign climes and European football.
He is currently at the World Cup with the national team, pushing hard for a place between the sticks with number one Pascal Zuberbuhler.
