Marseille capture keeper

Marseille have responded quickly to the departure of two of their goalkeepers.

Established number one Fabien Barthez parted company with the club earlier in the summer and was followed out of the exit door last week by Jeremy Gavanon, who joined Sochaux.

With a lack of cover a potential crisis appeared to be looming, but L'OM have snapped up two new keepers.

Having already signed Sebastien Hamel from Auxerre, they have now captured a youngster.

20-year-old Mehdi Sennaoui has left Strasbourg to sign his first professional contract with Marseille.

Cedric Carrasso (pictured), who was Barthez's regular understudy last term, is set to become the new number one.
