Depor to sign Bodipo

Deportivo La Coruna have agreed a deal to sign Rodolfo Bodipo from Alaves.

Deportivo La Coruna have agreed a deal to sign Rodolfo Bodipo from Alaves.

As the busy summer in the transfer market continues at the Riazor, coach Joaquin Caparros is continuing to mould his own squad.

"The deal to sign Bodipo is complete," said Depor president, Augusto Cesar Lendoiro.

"There is now an agreement with the player and with Alaves.

"But there is still the matter of payment," he added, regarding when and how Alaves would receive their transfer fee.

Lendoiro then confirmed that the club have signed Riki and will pay just ‚é¼4 million (£2.75 million), and not the ‚é¼6 million (£4.1 million) Getafe were demanding.

"The deal is documented with the Professional Football League," he said.

"The delivery of the contract has been dealt with in accordance with Getafe, the player and Real Madrid, who owned 50 percent of his contract."

He is also hopeful of wrapping up a deal to sign Israeli keeper Dudu Awat from Racing Santander after Jose Molina left Depor at the end of last season.

"I hope to reach a deal very soon on that.

"They are not things that can be solved over night though," he finished.
