Higgins jets in to Falkirk

Falkirk have completed the signing of Australian goalkeeper Scott Higgins.

The 29-year-old agreed to join the Scottish Premier League side earlier this month but the deal could not be finalised until he jetted in to take his medical.

Higgins now looks set to become Falkirk's number one for the upcoming season, following the departure of veteran Allan Ferguson at the end of last season.

"I'm delighted to be here and the set-up has impressed me," he told the club's official website.

"I had a long chat with the gaffer and he's really sold the club to me.

"I can't wait to get started. I am really looking forward to the challenge."
