Agent hints at Aimar exit
Pablo Aimar's agent has confirmed his client wants to leave Valencia.
Pablo Aimar's agent has confirmed his client wants to leave Valencia and take up a new challenge elsewhere.Aimar has fallen out of favour under Che coach Quique Flores and the club are believed to want to offload the Argentine ace.
Liverpool had previously been interested in his services, but The Reds have reportedly turned their sights on other targets.
Real Zaragoza had been interested in securing Aimar on an initial two-year loan deal, however the clubs have yet to strike an accord.
Either way, Aimar has become disillusioned with life at Mestalla and is looking to join a club with ambition.
"There are cycles that come to an end. Aimar doesn't want to renew his contract," stated agent Gustavo Mascardi.
"He feels that he doesn't have any more support from the team as the club have offered him to other teams.
"I can say that Aimar will not continue at Valencia and we are going to look for a team where he is wanted and where there is ambition.
"The financial aspect isn't a problem because Pablo cares most of all about the club's long-term ambitions.
"The Valencia project is over so we are going to listen to the different offers he receives."
