Francesco Totti has admitted he is happy to be facing Germany in the World Cup semi-finals.Italy will take on the hosts next Tuesday after both sides booked their place in the last four on Friday.
Germany beat favourites Argentina on penalties, while Italy cruised to victory over Ukraine.
Totti is confident Italy can overcome Germany and reach the final next weekend.
"Now we are set to face a really important semi-final, but for me we are missing only a little step to arrive at the end, and that's the aim all of us we had from the beginning," vowed Totti.
"We still believed in it, we have everything and it's useless hiding it ourselves.
"We want to win the World Cup.
"Germany are a difficult side, well organised on the pitch. But if you asked me if I would have preferred playing to get in the final against another team, I would say no. Germany are good."
