Basso speaks of 'dream' return
Auxeree goalkeeper Anthony Basso is delighted to be returning to his former club.
New Auxerre goalkeeper Anthony Basso has spoken of his delight to be returning to his former club.The 26-year-old caught the eye of new coach Jean Fernandez whilst playing for Viking and has been brought in as back-up for first-choice Fabien Cool.
Basso spent seven seasons in France before opting to move on but has now returned to challenge Cool for his starting place.
"This is my dream. I have another chance at the club where I played for seven seasons in the past," Basso told the club's official website.
"I will now take up the competition with Fabien Cool for the place as first-choice keeper."
