FC Nurnberg midfielder Marek Mintal has signed a new four-year deal at the Frankenstadion.The Slovakian international, who topped the Bundesliga scoring charts in 2004/05, put pen-to-paper on the new deal on Tuesday.
The news comes as a massive boost to coach Hans Meyer, who led the club from relegation trouble to a highly respectable eighth place in the league last season.
Mintal missed most of last term through injury, but is expected to form an exciting partnership with fellow Slovakian Robert Vittek next term.
"I'm sure that we will be able to achieve a lot here in the coming season," Mintal said.
