Mutu nears Juve exit

Juventus striker Adrian Mutu is close to joining Fiorentina, according to reports in Italy.

The former Chelsea and Parma ace is believed to have accepted reduced terms with the Florence club with the prospect of regular football on offer.

Fiorentina have reportedly offered the Romanian striker a five-year contract worth ‚é¼1.5 million a year (£1 million), a 25 percent cut on his Old Lady pay packet.

The clubs now only need to agree a fee to finalise the deal, although Fiorentina might be willing to part with one of their assets in order to bag Mutu.

Fiorentina are believed to be willing to part with Valeri Bojinov for a fee in the ‚é¼8 million (£5.5 million) region with Mutu moving in the opposite direction.
