Taibi seals Torino switch
Ex-Manchester United keeper Massimo Taibi has signed for Serie B side Torino.
Ex-Manchester United goalkeeper Massimo Taibi has signed a two-year-deal with Serie B side Torino.
The veteran keeper spent the duration of last term on loan with the club from fellow Serie B outfit Atalanta.
However, in the close season, Taibi had his deal at Atalanta terminated by mutual consent, paving the way for his switch to Torino.
The 36-year-old assisted the Turin side in their quest for promotion to Serie A last season, making 46 appearances and guiding the Granata to third place in the league, in a season which saw the side reach the play-offs.
Taibi will be best remembered by English fans for one huge error at Old Trafford when he allowed a tame Matt Le Tissier shot to slip through his grasp and into the net.
