Kirby impresses Pilgrims boss
Boston trialist Ben Kirby looks to be on his way to earning a deal at York Street.
Boston trialist Ben Kirby has been told by United boss Steve Evans that he will be handed a deal with the League Two side if he continues to impress.
The 19-year-old goalkeeper was released by Sheffield Wednesday at the end of last season, but looks to have caught the eye of the the Pilgrims manager.
Kirby has featured in three of Boston's pre-season friendly games during his trial, in ties against Ipswich, Leicester and Fakenham and Evans has been impressed with the youngster.
"Ben has performed very well," said Evans.
"If he keeps doing that, there is every chance we will offer him a contract."
