Bayern Munich youngster Christian Lell will miss the start of the new Bundesliga season after suffering a shoulder injury.The promising starlet was forced off during his side's 1-1 friendly draw against Austrian outfit LASK Linz on Sunday.
The Germany Under-21 international, who returned to the Reds only this season after his promising loan-spell with Cologne expired, has already undergone surgery back in Munich and is now expected to rest for six weeks.
The news is a blow to Bayern coach Felix Magath who recently hinted that Lell was set to start the season as right-back, given that regular choice Willy Sagnol has not yet resumed training after helping to guide France in to the World Cup final this summer.
