Adriano committed to Inter

Adriano's agent has insisted that the Brazilian is not leaving Internazionale.

Brazilian striker Adriano is set to stay at Internazionale, his agent has insisted.

Rumours have persisted throughout the summer that the 24-year-old would leave the Giuseppe Meazza, despite regular claims from the player that he was happy at Inter.

Agent Gilmar Rinaldi has now added his weight to the argument, and declared that he is baffled by the media speculation.

"He will remain at Inter," Rinaldi stated. "There have never been contacts with other sides so I don't know where these reports about his sale are coming from."

To underline his love for Inter, Rinaldi confirmed that Adriano would be happy to stay even if a number of top strikers arrived to challenge for his place.

The likes of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, David Trezeguet and Luca Toni have all been linked with Inter due to the involvement of Juventus and Fiorentina in the match-fixing scandal.

"I can assure you that even if Inter sign two top class strikers, Adriano will remain anyway," he said.

Rinaldi was also quick to play down reports of a rift between Adriano and coach Roberto Mancini.

"It is normal for a player and a coach to have a different opinion," he remarked.

"But I can assure you that the coach wants to keep him and has always held him in high regard."
