Johnson's Dragons switch OK'd

Wrexham target Josh Johnson has been granted a settlement visa.

Trinidad & Tobago star Josh Johnson has been granted a settlement visa, thereby allowing the player to complete his transfer to Wrexham.

The 24-year-old returned to the Caribbean last week and was cleared by the UK High Commission on Thursday.

Johnson will return to Wales over the weekend and is due to report for training with Denis Smith's side on Monday.

The Red Dragons' opening League Two date with Wycombe on Saturday will come too soon for the player, but he is expected to feature in the club's match with Grimsby the following Tuesday.

Meanwhile, striker Neil Roberts has been named the club's team captain for the forthcoming campaign.
