Pavel Nedved will quit international football after Czech Republic`s friendly clash with Serbia on Wednesday. The 33-year-old had been considering his future with Czech Republic following their first round exit at the World Cup.
Nedved came out of retirement to help Czech Republic qualify for the World Cup, but the Juventus man will now hang up his boots after the clash with Serbia.
The classy midfielder believes the time is right to give some younger players the chance to play for the national team
"I would like to say that the match against Serbia tomorrow will be my last match for the national team," said Nedved.
"I have decided to end my international career and free the place for youngsters. My decision is final.
"I want my decision to be respected.
"I am going to be 34 and I want to be with my family and play for Juventus.
"It would be difficult for me to prepare from the demanding international matches while playing in the second division in Italy."
Nedved won 90 caps for Czech Republic scoring 18 goals in that time.
